BOOK WORMS OF THE WORLD UNITE

Looking for a book to read this winter? Someone has compiled a list of 1001 books you should read before you die. That's a lot of page-turning. I was surprised to find I've actually read a few of them. Or, at least I was SUPPOSED to have read them back in college. Cliffs Notes count, right? Drat.

It's broken up by eras so you can get a variety by time period. Check it out here!

Overall, it's a fairly decent list. Then again, with 1001 books to choose from, I would HOPE that all the big guys and gals were covered. Still there are some glaring omissions- Shakespeare for one. Chaucer's Cantebury Tales. Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. Sun Tzu's Art of War. Just about anything by Raymond Carver. Any of Chekov's short stories. And those are just the authors off the top of my head.

Then, I went back and looked at some of the books. Turns out I'd only read 83 of them. Not good. Time to pull out some of the classics and get that number up into the 100s.

I SEE YOU!
