Here’s a site I love.

This real estate website has married actual sales figures with satellite imagery to produce property value snapshots of pretty much everywhere. You type in the address and it will give you all of the public sale information available, including similar data for everything in the neighborhood. I saw the sale record of my own property, including how its value compared to the value of other property in my zip code over a 1-, 5-, and 10-year period. Way cool.

There's even an estimate calculator that will help you determine the market value of your home including any relevant upgrades.

Thinking about selling? See what all of your neighbors' properties are worth. Thinking about buying? See what that neighborhood’s market value is before you counter. Just curious to know what someone paid for that piece of crap house across the street? Check it out here.
